RT 30 Construction Project Update

Please be aware that at the end of the week, this coming Thursday, July 29, 2010, the contractor will start the transition/shift in traffic lanes along Rt. 30 in front of the Wal-Mart Menards project zone. This shift will result in traffic being diverted to the North where the new pavement widening has been installed. This shift will begin West of Williams Street and end East of American Pride Lane (old Gas Station). The traffic control company will be placing temporary striping, arrows, barricades, and signs associated with this transition. All entrances to business, side streets, and residences to the south of Rt. 30 will remain open. This phase of construction will most likely continue into Friday the 30th. Please expect delays in traffic during this time. Please use caution driving through this zone until completed. Any questions please feel free to contact the engineering department at 815-462-6450.
