The Village of New Lenox provides repair service for many of the street lights located in the Village.  To report a street light that has burned out, please call the Public Works Department at 815-462-6480 during normal working hours and we will be happy to direct your request for repairs to the proper department.

The Village of New Lenox Public Works Department and the Township of New Lenox are working together to reduce area mosquito populations and nuisance health hazards associated with mosquitoes. Crews from the Village and the Township spray in an attempt to reduce the adult mosquito level. Besides being a nuisance, mosquitoes have in the past presented a serious health problem. Through their biting of certain animals and subsequent biting of humans, mosquitoes have been known to spread encephalitis disease. Operators and applicators employed by both the Village and the Township are certified by the State of Illinois Department of Agriculture for mosquito abatement. Residents of the community who desire to be notified prior to spraying because they suffer from allergies, respiratory problems, or have other concerns are encouraged to call 815-462-6480 (Village residents) or 815-485-6484 (Township residents) weekdays.

Any Village resident wishing to make a request for services from the Public Works Department may do so by calling 815-462-6480 during normal working hours. Should the request become of an emergency nature, at a time when the Village Hall is closed, please call 815-485-2500 and they will relay your request to an employee on call.
