Water Reclamation Plant Two | Excess Flow |
Physical Treatment: First Flush Basin (Primary Clarifier)
The 1st flush basin allows most of the solids and
grit to settle in the bottom of the tank.
Overflow Clarifiers
The 2nd stage is primary treatment. The water splits
between three tanks evenly so any solids which did not
settle in the first flush tank have more time to settle
out. About 60% of any solids which come in will settle
in these tanks.
Chlorine
The third stage is chemical addition. The fouth tank
has chlorine injected at the front end and the chlorine
kills any remaining germs and disease causing bacteria
prior to discharge.
