Water Reclamation Plant Two | Secondary Treatment |
Chlorine Addition and Removal
Chlorine is a gaseous chemical which we mix with water
and use to kill any germs and disease carrying bacteria
which have survived the other forms of treatment. Since
chlorine could be harmful to the living creatures in
the creek, it is removed with another chemical prior
to the water being discharged to the creek. This system
is used only if some other portion of the process cannot
do its job.
