Waste
Water Reclamation Plant Two | Solids Handling |
Digested Sludge Gravity Thickening
First, we send the waste to a gravity thickener. Here
the solids are layered one on top of the other and left
in an oxygen free environment. The bound water inside
the cellular structure is released and sent back to
the plant. The thickened sludge is sent to the next
process, aerobic digestion.
These plastic scrapers drag the material to the end
of the tank where it can be pumped to the next stage
of the treatment process.
