The New Lenox Safe Communities America Coalition has developed a program for parents of new teen drivers.  The event will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the New Lenox Village Hall.  The program will feature guest speakers from the Illinois Secretary of State's Office, the Lincoln-Way West High School Driver's Education Department, and Country Financial.  There will be three components to this program:
  • Review of the Illinois' Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) Program
  • Explanation of what the Driver's Education curriculum entails, including the classroom and behind-the-wheel portions
  • Information for parents on how to instruct teen drivers during their 50-hours behind the wheel

This is a FREE event, but registration is required.   Please click here to register for this class.

Everyone in attendance will receive a GDL Parent-Teen Driving Guide provided by the Illinois Secretary of State's Office and a "Student Driver" magnetic car sign compliments of event coordinator Rocky Dellamano from Country Financial.
